For taxi rides to and from destinations outside the Eindhoven region, a traffic surcharge of € 35 may apply. This covers extra travel time that can occur during peak hours, roadworks, or detours, and applies to both the outbound and return trips.
Why is this surcharge applied?
For longer trips, such as to Maastricht, Utrecht, Schiphol, or Düsseldorf Airport, travel times can sometimes increase significantly. A few examples:
• Peakhour delays: You land at Schiphol on Monday morning at 08:30. Heavy traffic on the A2 can extend travel time to 2–2.5 hours.
• Return trip delays: We take you to Düsseldorf Airport early in the morning, but on the return journey our driver may encounter an hour of delay during the morning rush.
• Roadworks: On Saturday afternoons towards Schiphol, planned roadworks (e.g., on the A2 or A9) can add extra travel time.
Always transparent
We will inform you during booking if the traffic surcharge applies. With our experience and up-to-date traffic information, we can usually provide a reliable estimate. If traffic is unexpectedly light, the surcharge will of course be waived.
