On (roughly) 100+ kilometer taxi rides we charge a rush hour fee of € 35. We do this because travel time during rush hour can take a lot longer, if not doubles. The rush hour fee applies to both directions of your taxi ride.
Example: let’s say you land at Schiphol Airport at 08:30 on a Monday morning. This means your driver will drive to Schiphol in the middle of morning rush hour. Driving time to the airport can easily increase by 1 to 1.5 hours. The other way around is also possible: we drive you to Düsseldorf Airport on a Monday morning at 05:45, the ride is reasonably smooth. However, on the way back our driver spends an extra hour in traffic. Rush hour fee applies to these situations.
During your booking we will always inform you about whether or not rush hour fee applies. If we’re driving during rush hour but with OK traffic, rush hour fee will not be charged. Don’t hesitate to contact us if you have any questions.
